A selection of the latest news from Tottenham Hotspur this Monday evening.

Tottenham duo Erik Lamela and Sandro have been linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks, but the Serie A club have denied any interest in Lamela according to the Daily Express, but remain keen on Sandro.

It was reported in the London Evening Standard last week that Spurs may seek a £15 million fee for Brazilian midfielder.

The Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is quoted, saying: “Rumours about our interest in him [Lamela] are only agent’s games.

“Sandro? He’s one of our targets, but not the only one.”

Goalkeeper Brad Friedel has signed a new one-year contract at White Hart Lane and will take on ambassadorial role with the club.

The 43-year-old is likely to be second choice goalkeeper behind Hugo Lloris, like in the previous two campaigns.

The Daily Express is also reporting that Spurs face competition from Valencia if they wanted to sign Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic.

A £6.5 million price tag has been put on the striker, with Arsenal also said to be interested in the Montenegro international.

Centre-back Grant Hall has been talking to the Birmingham Mail after recently signing for Birmingham City on loan for the upcoming season.

22-year-old Hall spent last season on loan at Swindon Town, and will head to St Andrews keen to impress.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for me.

“I just want to do well for the club, do well for the fans, manager and the rest of the players.

“Hopefully I can take my career to the next step, hopefully have a successful season.”
