The England players appear to be enjoying themselves on their first day in Brazil.
England have arrived in Brazil for their World Cup campaign after spending a few days in Miami as part of their preparations.
Their American adventure did not end in the best of conditions, though. Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain picked up a knee injury during the Three Lions’ friendly international against Ecuador last Wednesday, while Raheem Sterling got himself sent off in the same match.
Then on Saturday, the game against Honduras was held off for over 40 minutes due to thunderstorms. When it finally resumed, the players had to be careful against their aggressive opponents as the contest eventually finished in a goalless draw.
Thankfully for the England fans, there were no further injury concerns and the latest on Oxlade-Chamberlain is that he will recover fully before the end of the group stage. The members of the team boarded their flight after the match and landed in Brazil on Sunday.
The players seem to be enjoying themselves at the Royal Tulip Hotel, south of Rio de Janeiro’s city centre. Below is a selection of the best pictures and messages they have been posting on social media.

It will not be so rosy for England in the coming days, as they will have to think about the small matter of winning the World Cup. The players will be training on a secure military base underneath the Sugar Loaf mountain and will be gearing up for their opening game of the tournament against Italy in Manaus on June 14.
How far will England progress in Brazil?
