"Am I going to Chelsea? It looks like it."
Chelsea have been after a striker for a while after the performances of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o failed to meet the mark. Costa has just had a sensational season for Atletico Madrid and Jose Mourinho wants to tie up a deal for Costa before the World Cup.
Meanwhile club legend Didier Drogba is reportedly being eyed up as a summer signing - with a view to taking up a coaching role with the club.
The 36-year-old is out of contract with Turkish side Galatasaray and Mourinho wants him to return to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are said to have added another Atletico Madrid player to their wanted list. After the signature of Diego Costa looks imminent - as well as interest in Filipe Luis and Koke - Miranda has emerged as a target.
The 29-year-old defender is said to be worth £10 million and was previously linked with Manchester United.
Chelsea should never have sold Daniel Sturridge, according to departing club legend Frank Lampard. The club record scorer, who is leaving the club on a free transfer this summer, believes they should never had sold the striker to Brendan Rodgers' men for just £12 million:
“I’m really pleased for Studge because, at Chelsea, I think he was a bit frustrated. He felt he could have played more. He felt the position he was playing in was one he wasn’t happy with and he felt it was good for him to move. It was maybe not good business for Chelsea."
