Confirmed: England line-up for Honduras friendly – United & Liverpool stars start

Roy Hodgson

England will be keen on getting a positive result against Honduras in Miami tonight.

England will be looking to head into the 2014 World Cup finals on the back of a victory tonight.

The Three Lions will take on underdogs Honduras in Miami in their final warm-up match before they fly to tournament hosts Brazil.

Roy Hodgson’s side played out a rather disappointing 2-2 draw against Ecuador in Miami on Wednesday, and the players will be determined to put up a good show to inspire their fans back home.

Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss the match tonight due to injury, while Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling is suspended after picking up a red card in the last match.

Hodgson will hope that none of his players pick up injuries tonight, but he will be keen for them to register a convincing victory.

Honduras themselves will be trying to get into some form ahead of the World Cup, having won just once in their last six matches.

Having been drawn against France, Switzerland and Ecuador in Group E, the Central American nation will know that they need to get back to winning ways if they are to stand any chance of making it through to the last 16.

Here is how England will line up against Honduras tonight:

England XI: Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, Leighton Baines, Steven Gerrard, Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Jordan Henderson, Wayne Rooney, Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck
