Chelsea fans have reacted negatively to reported comments from Romelu Lukaku over his Stamford Bridge future.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has made it clear; if I’m not going to play next season then sell me.

The Belgian forward has said he’s looking to use the World Cup as a shopping window to force a transfer away from Stamford Bridge following the tournament in Brazil.

“You know Chelsea, every year they buy a new top striker - But no problem. Many clubs are interested in me. At this stage, I have to look to myself. I have to play a good World Cup. That’s very interesting for all the players looking for a transfer,” the striker has been quoted this morning.

Needless to say Chelsea fans aren’t too happy about the youngster’s comments.

So far, Lukaku has managed to maintain a positive relationship with Chelsea fans all over the world because he seemed determined to try and make the grade at Stamford Bridge.

However, his frustrations are boiling over as the Blues close in on a deal for Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa and remain linked with further attacking signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

It will be personally annoying to Lukaku because he has similar traits to the Spanish international and will feel as though he deserves a chance to lead the Blues attack.

Lukaku is just as physical, has more experience in English football and has done everything asked of him in two loan spells with West Brom and Everton in the past two seasons.

That doesn’t excuse the fact that he’s been slightly disrespectful to Jose Mourinho’s side, who have stood by him and kept him under contract when they could easily have pulled the trigger before this point.

Take a look at what Blues fans have made of the Belgian’s comments about his future, voicing their opinions on social media website Twitter.
