Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of striker Ayoze Perez.
Perez scored 16 goals in 34 games for Spanish second division side Tenerife last season and moves to St James' Park on a long-term deal.
The 20-year-old says that he is "very happy" to move to Tyneside and manager Alan Pardew will be delighted to have secured a promising young forward to replace Loic Remy, who was at the heart of Newcastle's strikeforce last season.

As Opta stats show, the nearest competitor to Remy's 14 goals last term was Yohan Cabaye - who left the club in January. Remy was on loan at Newcastle from Queens Park Rangers and is expected to move elsewhere this summer, while Shola Ameobi has also been released by the Magpies.
Pardew's response has been to look to Perez.
'I'm very happy to be here to start this new adventure', the 20-year-old told the club's official website. 'I'm very eager for it to begin and I'm very pleased to play for this magnificent club. Any football player would be interested in playing for such a club and I will earn my position to get in the first team'.
Pardew himself said: 'We're delighted to confirm our first signing of the summer and very pleased to have Ayoze at Newcastle United, as a number of other clubs were chasing his signature too.
'He had a terrific season in Spain last year and is a player who we hope to develop further on Tyneside. He's only 20 but has a very good eye for goal and that's a great asset for any young player to have'.
