Chelsea Stadium Stamford Bridge

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks to do a deal for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Blues are the favourites to sign the Spanish midfielder following Arsenal’s reluctance to take up their first option on re-signing the player.

Jose Mourinho confirmed yesterday that he was interested in the central midfielder if Barca are willing to do a deal.

The man himself has apparently confirmed to Spain teammates that he’s leaving the Nou Camp this summer.

Spain are currently together preparing for the World Cup in Brazil which starts next week.

Gerard Pique is among the Barca rank in the Spain squad to reportedly have been told the news by Fabregas.

Everton have reportedly opened talks with striker Romelu Lukaku over a permanent move to Goodison Park.

The Belgian was on loan with Everton last season where he continued his impressive development.

He is likely to move this summer to help part fund the cost of other transfer deals.
