Interesting looking stealth-em-up Styx: Master of Shadows new screens

Styx: Master of Shadows Screen 9

Cyanide Studios have revealed some great looking new screenshots of their upcoming PC prequel to Of Orcs and Men.

Of Orcs and Men was released in Oct 2012; set in a fantasy world where Orcs and Goblins are enslaved by Humans, you played an Orc warrior on a mission to slay the Human Emperor. Along the way you team up with the Goblin assassin, Styx, who now has his own game coming out; Styx: Master of Shadows.

Being developed Cyanide Studios, Styx: MoS is a prequel to Of Orcs and Men and will see players climbing the huge Tower of Akenash to seek out ‘the Tree’ – a source of the 'Amber', which can grant Styx all the riches he can dream of.

Guarded by the Humans and Elves, the Tree is in the upper levels of the Tower, and Styx must climb his way to the top to get there. Along the way he’ll have various mission to complete, including murder and thievery, which can be completed in numerous ways in the open levels.

The guards and enemies you face will adapt their behaviour depending on how you play, but it’s advised to plan out your attacks, due to Styx’s small size, as going toe-to-toe with an Orc wouldn’t be the best course of action.

The game also houses RPG mechanics, so you’ll gain experience as you play, unlocking new skills and moves amongst six talent trees. Plus with the Amber flowing from the Tree, you will have access to powers such as invisibility.

Before more info is to be revealed at E3 next week, take a look at the gorgeous screens below, as well as the teaser trailer.
