Report - Real Madrid boss agrees with president over Liverpool star

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly given club president Florentino Perez the go ahead to sign Luis Suarez.

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has approved of Florentino Perez' interest in signing Luis Suarez.

The two men met last Friday to discuss plans for next season, and the Reds striker was high on the list of agendas along with the future of Karim Benzema and Di Maria.

Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti has publically announced his delight at the current squad, and he remains keen to keep a tightly-knitted squad so that his team can build and mature together.

After winning the Copa Del Rey and the Champions League in such devastating fashion, one would suggest that Los Blancos have little room for improvement in their current starting XI, especially as an attacking force.

Nevertheless, president Florentino Perez is said to be a long-term admirer of Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and after such a fabulous season, his interest in the Uruguayan has grown incredibly.

Splashed across the front pages of Marca reads what most Liverpool fans fear. ‘Ancelotti gives the OK to Luis Suarez, but without selling Karim Benzema’.

27-year-old Luis Suarez won a host of individual awards last season, including the Premier League Player of the Year, Liverpool’s Player of the Year and sharing the European Golden Boot award with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

He scored 31 Premier League goals and added another 12 assists in 33 starts, contributing to a goal every 69 minutes – an astonishing record unmatched across Europe.
