Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Pochettino to ask Southampton for Rodriguez and Clyne

A round up of transfer stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

The Daily Star claims Mauricio Pochettino is ready to go back to Southampton for two key players.

Tottenham’s new manager is reportedly interested in signing Jay Rodriguez and Nathaniel Clyne to improve his squad at White Hart Lane.

Rodriguez rivalled Daniel Sturridge and Wayne Rooney as one of the highest scoring Englishmen last season.

Tottenham could struggle to turn down a €25 million offer for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

France Televisions has reiterated the belief that Lloris wants to play Champions League football and has suggested the club could have already accepted they’ll lose him after the World Cup.

Lloris’ contract at the club doesn’t expire until the summer of 2016 so Spurs can play hard ball over his future.

Spurs have reportedly made contact with Dutch club Feyenoord over a deal for full-back Daryl Janmaat.

He’s rated at around the £6 million mark and could improve the competition for places next season.

However, Premier League rivals Manchester United are also thought to be interested in a deal.
