Arsenal have long been linked with Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, but has the Spanish striker just given the clearest indication yet that the Gunners are wasting their time in any pursuit?
The Real Madrid player took to Twitter on Tuesday evening to post a picture of himself in the Spanish side's new pink away kit that they will be turning out in next season.
If he really was planning on leaving the Bernabeu, donning the shirt for an impromptu fashion parade seems a bit strange. And with a contract until the summer of 2015, there is no reason for him to leave just yet.
Contrasting reports have been flying about concerning the apparent Arsenal target for quite a while now, with some suggesting Real want him to sign a new deal before sending him out on loan - with Real Sociedad a possible option - and others claiming the likes of Juventus and the Gunners had already reached agreements for a permanent move.
Those "agreements" were later dismissed, with the suggestion that both clubs were unwilling to accept the clause that Real would have a buy-back option for a young player they clearly rate highly.
But having shown his colours - at least his current ones - on Twitter, it seems Morata remains a Real player at heart. And as such that is where he could remain despite the rumour-mill suggesting otherwise.
