Right-back has been a problem position for Spain over the past few years with no one really shining in the position since Sergio Ramos moved into the centre of defence.
Alvaro Arbeloa filled the position at the past two major tournaments but as a result of injuries and the rise of Dani Carvajal at Real Madrid, the former Liverpool man failed to make La Roja's squad this time around.
Atletico Madrid's Juanfran and Chelsea César Azpilicueta have made the final 23-man squad for the tournament after impressive season's at club level, but who will be Vicente Del Bosque's preferred choice?
Juanfran started 47 times for La Liga champions Atletico in the league and Champions League, and was an integral part of a side that enjoyed an incredible season.
Azpilicueta made 35 appearances for Chelsea in the Champions League and Premier League, filling it at left-back for much of the season under Jose Mourinho.
The two are closely matched statistically and it will come down what system Del Bosque wants to deploy in Brazil.

Azpilicueta outclassed Juanfran on the defensive side of the game last campaign, winning more tackles and making more clearances per match.
However, the 24-year-old wasn't as good as his Atletico counterpart going forward, as Juanfran got 4 assists last season, creating 29 chances for teammates.
Azpilicueta created just 12 chances, but was better in possession, and this could be a deciding factor for Del Bosque, as his side try to retain the ball for the entirety of the game.
Both players are quality fullbacks, but with Jordi Alba an almost certain choice at left-back, the right side of defence will be where the duo battle.
