Last month saw a couple of strong titles released for Xbox consoles in the form of Wolfenstein: The New Order and Watch_Dogs. This month also has some solid titles including Square Enix’s ghostly murder investigation, Murdered: Soul Suspect, and EA Sports UFC. Let’s have a look at what else is being released for Xbox this month.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One
Murdered: Soul Suspect – 6 June
After being killed whilst chasing down a serial killer, Detective Ronan O’Connor becomes a ghost, and must complete his unfinished business in the living world before he can move on. Using his detective skills he gained whilst alive, and the new ghostly abilities he has in death, Ronan must investigate his own murder. A 5 min long trailer for the game is below.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War – 25 June (Xbox Live)
Utilising the the UbiArt Framework engine, which was also used on the recently released Child of Light, Valiant Hearts: The Great War is developed by Ubisoft Montpelier. Set during the Great War (WW1), the game is inspired by letters which were written during the war and focusses on four strangers. Have a look at the beautifully hand-drawn style in the trailer below.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark – 27 June
Set to tie-in with the latest movie, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will have you playing in both the Earth and Cybertron universes. There are over 40 playable characters including all the favourites like Optimus and Bumblebee. The gameplay trailer is below.
Sniper Elite III – 27 June
The third instalment to the Sniper Elite series, the latest game places you in North Africa during WWII. It features a newly rebuilt AI system with emphasis on squad roles, and focusses on planning your attacks. Oh yeah, and the kill-cam is still there too. MotoGP 14 – 20 June
Italian developers, Milestone S.r.l, bring you the latest MotoGP season. Featuring riders and tracks from the official MotoGP 2014 and 2013 seasons, with over 100 riders in total, along with the official manufacturers. Rossi weaves in and out of other riders in the trailer at Le Mans below.
How to Train Your Dragon 2 – 20 June
Based on the movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2, the game will let players choose their rider and dragon, enter dragon flight school, and compete in challenges and tournaments. Have a look at the trailer below.
GRID: Autosport – 27 June
The latest in the GRID series will focus on you becoming a pro racer, taking inspiration from the TOCA series and developed using community feedback. Racing alongside a teammate, you must appease team sponsors and defeat rivals using cars from different classes including; Touring Cars; Hypercars; Prototypes and more. EA Sports UFC – 20 June
Developed by the team that brought us the Fight Night series, EA Sports UFC features incredible fighter models and AI which switches its fight plan based on how the match is playing out. The game also lets you play as “The Father of Mixed Martial Arts” himself, Bruce Lee! Have a look at the Bruce Lee trailer below – “Be water, my friend.”
