PHOTO: Podolski posts picture with striker who 'wants to join' Arsenal

Arsenal star caught up with Chelsea striker of last season who is said to be keen on a move to The Emirates.

Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski featured as a substitute in Germany's 2-2 draw with Cameroon on Sunday, and caught up after the game with one of the goalscorers.

He posted a photo on his Instagram page with Samuel Eto'o and Alex Song, with the soon-to-be released Chelsea striker netting for the Indomitable Lions.

Eto'o celebrated the goal with his 'old man celebration', mocking Jose Mourinho's comments he was actually approaching his 40s, and it's the aggravation the striker feels at the Chelsea manager's jibe that is apparently causing him to want to play for Arsenal.

The Mirror wrote last week: "Eto’o’s representatives have made overtures to Arsenal to alert them about the Cameroon striker’s availability as a free agent. They have made it clear that Eto’o wants to go to the Emirates and that is his number one priority."

Fans had subsequently posted (below) on Podolski's Instagram page asking if he was persuading him to join, with his message simply stating: "3 friends ready for Brazil!! Good luck!#RoadtoWorldCup #Brazil2014 #instalike #GerCam#friends #camfoot #photooftheday #poldi #aha@17alexsong @setoo9 @poldi_official"

"jonathanlhughes @poldi_official persuading them to come to arsenal I see what your doing""

"phezani Are they both coming to the Emirates after the World Cup?"

"nickansonhart pls tell me we are getting both of them"
