Last month it was revealed that Xbox One owners would be able to benefit from the Games with Gold program 360 owners have enjoyed for the past 12 months. The exact dates you’ll be able to download those games (Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault) will be available at a later date, as stated over on Major Nelson’s blog.
From today Xbox 360 owners can download the first free game this month, Dark Souls, up until 15 June. On 16 June the other two free games, Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (an extra game to celebrate 12 months of Games with Gold), will be available.
Dark Souls is definitely not for the faint of heart or the impatient, it will test your determination like no other game before it. Set in a dark and foreboding environment, you are tasked with discovering the fate of the undead. Each victory over an enemy will leave you relieved and equally worried about what’s coming next, but the game is rewarding once you accept that you will die… a lot. Have a look at the trailer below, then head over to Xbox Live and try it out.
