With the 2014-15 Premier League season set to be one of the most competitive in history, we look at the three managers who could be the most impressive.
I believe that the Arsenal will win the Premier League title next season and manager Arsene Wenger will pick up the Manager of the Year award. The Gunners just need a striker with pace to compete for the title. That would allow the Frenchman to play the ‘Total Football’ that he loves to play and win the league.
Manchester City will have a big budget and this summer all they really need is a center-back, with Mehdi Benatia of Roma said to be on their radar. Pellegrini is an attack-minded manager and the Citizens were one of the best sides to watch in the 2013-14 season. City will be favourites to win the league title again next season, and if they do that by playing attractive football, then surely there will be no doubts about Pellegrini being a truly great manager.
The former Wigan Athletic boss had a great first season at Everton that saw them nearly qualify for the Champions League. Eventually the Toffees finished fifth, but that should not take anything away from what has been a really good season for the Merseyside outfit. To repeat it next season would be fantastic, and if Everton manage to break into the top four, then Martinez should win the Manager of the Year award. The Liverpool-based club need to sign a replacement for striker Romelu Lukaku, whose future is still wrapped up in uncertainty. If Everton can reach an agreement with Chelsea for the Belgian striker or recruit a top forward, then they will once again be challenging for a top-four finish.
