Branislav Ivanovic scored for Serbia against Panama last night.
Chelsea have more players then any others at the FIFA World Cup this summer. But there are of course many others in the squad who have not made it to Brazil this summer.
One such player is Serbian international Branislav Ivanovic. The defender, who had his usual superb campaign last season, is looking forward to next season but at the moment he is involved with the national team.
Serbia took on Panama last night in a game they would have expected to win. It was also perhaps a perfect location. Serbia may not be in Brazil, but they take on Brazil this Friday - so they get to enjoy the sunshine with the odd break for the occasional international friendly.
That mentality certainly showed with a 1-1 draw against the Central American side yesterday - but at least Ivanovic had something to celebrate.
He scored Serbia's goal in the game with a trademark header and the hope will be he can add a few more goals like this to his repertoire for Chelsea next season.
