The OKC Thunder point guard showcased his athleticism in blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
In a series that has swung back and forth between two outstanding teams, the Spurs took a 3-2 series lead last night in a 28-point win over the Thunder.
However, the contest was not so one-sided early on and while the Thunder were leading in the first quarter Russell Westbrook provided us a with an unforgettable moment.
As you can see, Westbrook’s athleticism is off the charts and his much of his explosive game is predicated on his ability to get the rim and finish above opponents.
The dynamic point guard has had a mixed series so far. He struggled in the first two games in San Antonio, scoring a combined 40 points from 45 shots, a worryingly inefficient display of shooting. However, Westbrook has bounced back over the last three games, including an absolutely huge showing in Game 4 in which he scored 40 points, dished out 10 assists and made 5 steals in a series levelling win.
The Thunder head home tomorrow in Game 6 and will have to win in order to force a Game 7 in San Antonio and keep their hopes of returning to the NBA Finals alive.
