Lukasz Fabianski's last game as a Gunner was Arsenal's barren-run breaking victory over Hull City, a come-from-behind triumph that saw the North Londoners halt a nine-year stretch without silver and culminated with the overdue champagne soaking of Arsene Wenger.
Fabianski conceded just thrice from five outings during Arsenal's journey to Wembley Stadium and, throughout his stay at the Emirates Stadium, returned 23 clean sheets from a combined 78 appearances from all competitions.
His departure - Fabianski signed a pre-contract with Swansea City as confirmed earlier today, Thursday - has prompted his former N5 locker-room mate Mesut Ozil to reach out to the player on social media.
Ozil said: "Good luck and thank you Lukasz! See you next season in the Premier League and UEFA Euro Championships."
Fans also paid tribute to the shot-stopper, with one supporter commenting that he wished Fabianski all the best in 36 matches next season - and hoped he has a howler in the other two… against Arsenal.
