Tottenham latest, two players may leave after one season, club on lookout for Lloris replacement?

Roberto Soldado

A selection of the latest transfer news involving Tottenham Hotspur this Thursday evening.

Striker Roberto Soldado looks to be on his way after a disappointing season at White Hart Lane with the London Evening Standard reporting he is a target for La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.

New boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be prepared to listen to offers for the Spanish striker who only found the net on six occasions in the Premier League last season, with Soldado said to be available for around £13m – given that Spurs only paid Valencia that much up front when they bought him.

The same report says that QPR's Loic Remy and Southampton's Jay Rodriguez are both targets for Tottenham as they look to strengthen their forward line.

Another player from Southampton linked with a move to Spurs is Victor Wanyama, according to the Daily Mail.

Wanyama was vocal in his criticism of the Saints for not doing more to keep hold of Pochettino, and the Mail indicates he wants to follow the Argentine to North London.

The same report says that Erik Lamela may be allowed to leave the club for £25m after a difficult season, but won’t be allowed to leave Spurs on loan.

The Mail is also reporting that with speculation surrounding goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’s future at White Hart Lane, Spurs are looking at Celtic’s Fraser Forster and Newcastle United’s Tim Krul.

The report says that if Lloris were to leave then the club would want in excess of £20m for the Frenchman, but Tottenham are keen to extend his current deal which runs out in 2016.
