Bethesda have pushed back The Evil Within from its planned August release date but the latest trailer is showing this game has the tools to terrify.

Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within will be delayed until October according to Bethesda. The publishers have given a statement to say, “Shinji Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks have asked for additional time to further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create.”

To make up for the delay and give some hard evidence to horror fans that the wait will be worth it, a new video has also come from Bethesda showing some real life reactions from people playing The Evil Within. Judging by the reactions from the lucky few in the trailer below, The Evil Within looks like it’s succeeding in bringing some decent horror moments and may well stand as a worthwhile follow-on from Mikami’s last great horror game Resident Evil 4, a tittle accepted by many to be the last really good attempt at horror survival.

The Evil Within will now be released in North America on October 21st, Australia on October 23rd and Europe on October 24th and is set to come to PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
