Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Leeds United fans are united in paying tribute to the sad passing of a football club owner.
It is with sadness that HITC: Sport reports the passing of Manchester United owner Malcolm Glazer, who died this morning - Wednesday - aged 85.
Glazer also owned the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who lauded Glazer as a "pioneering thinker" and "dynamic business leader" who "rebuilt the Buccaneers into a model franchise and a Super Bowl winner."
Glazer acquired ownership of United between 2003 and 2005 and, during his time with the Old Trafford outfit, the club won five Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.
Regardless of fan allegiance, numerous tributes poured for Glazer and his family on social media network Twitter.
United supporters thanked Glazer for what he had done for the club, a Liverpool fan said that this type of news puts rivalries to the side while a Leeds United supporter expressed sadness, also.
Hopefully United fans will be respectful to the Glazers. I'm sure the real fans will be.— Steve Doyle (@therealdoyley) May 28, 2014
