Well, it’s finally happened, Titanfall has been dethroned from the number one spot in the UK Xbox One chart. Respawn Entertainment’s mech-based FPS has been looking down on the other chart titles for weeks now, with no real contender in sight. Until now.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is the sixth game in the series, which started all the way back in 1981 with Castle Wolfenstein. Debuting at number one in the Xbox One charts, Wolfenstein: The New Order counts for 36% of all revenue from software unit sales last week, making it the second biggest release this year since Titanfall in March. Keep your eyes peeled for our review of the Nazi-shooter in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere in the chart we can see a little movement, mainly downwards, from the other titles. However, Forza Motorsport 5 has jumped up one place from four to three, and Dead Rising 3 moves up three places from nine to six.
Ubisoft’s long-awaited Watch Dogs was released today, so next week we could be seeing even more movement. But can Wolfenstein fend of the hack-em-up to retain its debuting top spot? We’ll have to wait and see. We'll also have a review up for you in the next couple of weeks.
