The Order: 1886 has been set back until early next year. For anyone upset by the news we have some new media to ease the pain.
Yet another big game expected this year is being set back, this time it’s the PS4 exclusive third-person action adventure The Order 1886. News of the delay was confirmed on the Playstation blog, “As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game. As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015.” wrote the games director Ru Weerasuriya.
The blog announcement was accompanied with a behind the scenes video going into the inspiration behind The Order: The merging of Arthurian legend and industrialised Victorian Britain, the research into the back-drop of 19th century London and the meeting of fiction and non-fiction in The Order’s narrative. The video is below.
We’ve also got some new screens from The Order: 1886 showing some shiny next gen graphics and the game’s gloomy atmospherics in some recent gameplay taken from a shoot-out in London's Whitechapel district.. Also included is a hint at The Order: 1886’s answer to bullet-time in the shape of the Blacksight ability.
