Olivier Giroud netted a wondergoal for France on Monday evening, with compatriot & Manchester United target in quick pursuit to join in on the celebration.
Goals from Loic Remy, Paul Pogba and two from Olivier Giroud settled a 4-0 rout over Norway for France at the Stade de France, Paris on Tuesday, May 27 yet the scorers were not the only players responsible for a home hammering of the visiting Scandinavians, with Antoine Griezmann also performing admirably.
Giroud's two goals were both exquisite. His first was a pin-point header, whilst his second was a highlight-reel strike that dipped in on the half-volley. The brace punctuates a good season for Giroud, 27, who had only recently completed his most prolific campaign in England to date.
One of the players to celebrate with Giroud was Griezmann an exciting, young winger who plays his club football with Real Sociedad and won plaudits against Norway for his direct attacks and effective crossing.
Griezmann made 35 appearances for Sociedad in La Liga and six in the Champions League. He was responsible for 19 goals (16 goals and 3 assists), was accurate with 19 of his 75 of his crosses, contributed 34 goal-scoring opportunities and was never gun-shy, as he attempted 111 shots in total.
His form has reportedly attracted numerous admirers, with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Arsenal all linked with an £18m bid.
