‘Arsenal to go all out for Rooney?’
It’s around this time last year that Arsenal started to be strongly linked with Wayne Rooney.
Rooney had just told Manchester United that he wanted to leave Old Trafford, alongside Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

‘Chelsea set to secure Van Ginkel deal’
Chelsea closed in on the signing of highly rated Dutch midfield prospect Marko Van Ginkel.
Van Ginkel was one of Vitesse Arnhem’s standout players during the 2012/2013 season, which prompted Jose Mourinho to move quickly and secure him during his second spell in charge of the club.
He featured under Mourinho last season before a bad knee injury halted his immediate Chelsea career.
‘Meulensteen considers United position’
Rene Meulensteen was reportedly considering his position at Manchester United after David Moyes was appointed to follow Sir Alex Ferguson.
He was offered a new role in the Moyes era but chose to turn it down and move onto a fresh challenge.
Meulensteen was in charge of Fulham last season, before he was replaced with the West London club desperate to avoid relegation, which they couldn’t pull off.
