The chances of Liverpool or Juventus landing Barcelona man Alexis Sanchez this summer have been dented by the Catalan club's president insisting the Chilean isn't up for grabs.
Sanchez was superb for Barcelona last season with 19 goals and 10 assists in 27 league starts but it has been widely reported that he is up for sale.
A number of top sides are said to be keeping an eye on the 25-year-old and it has been suggested in Italy that Juventus may already have an agreement with Barcelona.
"Alexis is preparing for the World Cup and is focused only on that competition," the Barcelona chief stated.
"We all hope that he has an excellent tournament and I will have a certain sympathy for Chile.
"Sanchez isn't on the market. He has a contract with us and that is the only thing that counts. We know nothing about Juventus wanting him and haven't received an offer from them - you would have to ask his agent.
"I hear a lot of things in the press and it's best that I don't comment on them. Alexis is in our plans for next season and we need him because he's a quality player."
