New Tottenham boss an admirer of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
New Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to lift his team to a finish above Arsenal next season, but don't expect the relationship between he and his counterpart to be frosty.
The Argentine is a big fan of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, and is likely to try to ensure a respectful rivalry.
That can be deduced from his comments last November, ahead of Southampton's visit to Arsenal, where the Gunners won 2-0.
Pochettino said: "I have great respect and admiration for Arsène Wenger for what he has done at Arsenal.
"He has great charm and a very good identity, a very positive way of being a football manager. All you have to do is look at his background and see how far he has come.
"I am completely in awe of Arsène Wenger. The team we are playing against on Saturday is the team that are playing the best football in the league."
The challenge for Pochettino is notjust to outdo Arsenal next season, but to try and achieve anywhere near the longeivity the Frenchman has enjoyed in North London.
As the fifth Spurs boss in as many seasons, the former Southampton manager will hope to bring stability back to White Hart Lane, and importantly attractive winning football, just in the same way Wenger began at Arsenal.
