Italian midfielder Marco Verratti is a highly regarded prospect on the continent, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is said to be among his admirers too.
Yet rumours of PSG looking to strengthen their midfield further continue to threaten to move him down the pecking order, and leave his future at the club in doubt.
Long linked with Paul Pogba, it's in fact Yaya Toure who threatens to force him out of Paris, with the Manchester City star declaring his admiration for the Ligue 1 side.
SkySports report quotes from France Football, with Toure stating: "PSG has become one (of the) strongholds in Europe. It would be an honour to be part of such a club one day. If I could help..."
The same report says the only way Toure will be able to sign, is if PSG recoup the transfer outlay required by selling Marco Verratti, and already have a destination lined up.
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans it is not The Emirates, with Verratti tipped to switch to the Bernabeu instead.
There at Real Madrid he would link up with compatriot and former boss Carlo Ancelotti, who helped him establish himself at PSG, and his presence is a major trump card in any transfer chase.
Valued at €30 million by the French club, if PSG are to make any more considerable changes to their midfield, Toure specifically, they will need to balance the books, and it is Verratti who stands to suffer most in terms of game time.
Real are also linked with Paul Pogba, and it's this which could prove to work in Arsenal's favour. If Madrid are successful in this ambitious deal, it reduces the chances of them paying big money for another midfielder, with the need to buy another striker to complement Karim Benzema in attack.
