One of the Russian Premier League's most hyped starlets is a twinkle-toed 19-year-old Iranian forward that has begun catching the eyes of several European super clubs.
Rubin Kazan's Sardar Azmoun is in his first season in the Russian top flight but has already been compared to the very best footballing talent around, on the way to an impressive 5 goals in 17 games.
Despite being linked with Arsenal for several months, Azmoun, labelled the "Iranian Messi" is yet to be approached regarding a transfer to the club. It has led to reports that both Liverpool and Tottenham are prepared to enter proceedings.
Azmoun has yet to feature for the full Iranian national team, though with 19 goals in 17 games for the Under-20 group, he is sure to make the step up next season for Asia's top ranked side.
It isn't just English clubs that are keeping an eye on him either, with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Barcelona all following his progress according to the player himself.
Last month he told TV show Navad: "I have offers from three major clubs: Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus.
"I also had an offer from Barcelona, but due to their transfer ban the club is out of the picture at the moment.
"I'm very proud to have Arsenal looking at me but, as I said, right now I'm only focusing on the Russian league."
Given that Barcelona's transfer ban has since been overturned, the La Liga giants may emerge as the biggest opposition to any Premier League switch.
