Much of the talk before the Champions League final today was over the hamstring problems suffered by Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Costa recently - and whether either would play for their respective Madrid side.
The answer, yes, they would.
Both players started the game today, however Costa - who is all set to join Chelsea for £32 million in the summer - may as well not have.
The Chelsea bound Spaniard left the field a little after eight minutes after having very little impact on the game, Adrian Lopez taking his place.
Costa had undergone controversial horse placenta treatment in Serbia this week and participated in full training on Friday.
However it clearly did not do the trick and he will watch the majority of this tense final from the side-lines.
He now faces a race against time to get fit for Spain's World Cup surge in his Brazilian homeland this summer. The exit was also likely a goodbye from wearing Atletico colours, his Chelsea move set to be completed in the coming weeks.
