Warface players will also be able to get double XP and VP as part of the event.
Starting at 12pm UK time on May 23rd Microsoft will be temporarily lifting the Xbox Live Gold Paywall offering a free weekend of online gaming action to those with silver memberships.
Set to run until 11.59pm on May 25th Xbox 360 gamers will be able to benefit from all the perks of Gold getting free access to online multiplayer content from some big titles, among them Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and GTA Online.
Announcing the event Microsoft state, “Take your Xbox 360 online between the 23rd and 25th May and enjoy the benefits of Xbox Live Gold.Experience unrivalled multiplayer gaming on Xbox 360.”
Silver members will also get access to free to play online titles such as World of Tanks and Warface, the latter of which will also be offering double XP and VP during the event with Microsoft noting, “Team up with friends or annihilate foes in the explosive free to play shooter from Crytek with Xbox Live Gold. This free-to-play shooter is doubling XP and VP rewards for this weekend, so you’ll level up and unlock new gear twice as fast. Make sure you don’t miss out."
