It has been quite a season for Gareth Bale since making his reported £86m move to the Spanish capital from North London side Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Spurs sensation scored 15 goals and assisted a further 12 in just 24 La Liga starts, while in the Champions League he has contributed to nine goals in seven starts.
His performance at the Santiago Bernabeu have been worthy of the huge sum of money paid for him, and even Cristiano Ronaldo has been left impressed, as the Ballon d’Or winner recently acknowledged in AS.: "He’s an excellent player. He’s adapted really well and he’s put in some amazing games in the Champions League, the league and the Copa del Rey. He scored a brilliant goal against Barcelona in the Cup. He has shown his quality.”
Gareth Bale experienced some fabulous European nights whilst at Tottenham Hotspur, no more so than his memorable performance at White Hart Lane as he ran Brazilian right-back Maicon ragged.
This Saturday, however, could well be the best experience of the 24-year-old’s short career as Real Madrid bid to win their much-desired tenth Champions league crown against city-rivals Atletico Madrid.
The tension has been building up in the Spanish capital, and Gareth Bale himself can’t contain his excitement as he took to social networking site Twitter to tell fans that he has arrived at the Champions League final venue – Lisbon’s incredible Estadio da Luz.
