Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Sociedad, Queens Park Rangers and Toulouse stars all feature.
Arsene Wenger will still be basking in the glow of FA Cup glory last weekend as he mulls over the work he’ll have to do this summer.
The Frenchman has made it clear that he wants to keep a couple of key players at the club, with extra effort made to ensure that the Gunners head into next season in the best possible shape.
We’ve taken a look at five of the best players linked with signing for Arsenal this week.
Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona)
With Manchester United thought to be mulling over a potential move to bring Fabregas back to English football, Arsenal are naturally mentioned as a destination. The Gunners have first option on Fabregas as Barca are obliged to tell the club if any side makes a formal bid for the midfielder.
Mario Mandzukic (Bayern Munich)
Not a new name for any Gunners who follow Arsenal transfer news regularly. The big centre forward is thought to be open to a move away from Bayern with Robert Lewandowski moving to the club ahead of next season, which arguably reduces his chances of regularly playing time.
Antoine Griezmann (Real Sociedad)
Griezmann is a player Wenger has been keeping an eye on throughout the season. He’s an extremely versatile player and someone who could be effective for the club down either side of the midfield. He has the ability to release one of Theo Walcott or Lukas Podolski to focus on a centre forward role.
Serge Aurier (Toulouse)
A very obvious and natural replacement for Bacary Sagna who looks set to sign a deal with Manchester City. He’s a player who Wenger has been watching for a long time so there shouldn’t be any worries over his suitability and potential to become a solid player for the club.
Loic Remy (Queens Park Rangers)
Remy is a decent centre forward option for Arsenal, with a deal that wouldn’t eat away at Wenger’s summer budget. Remy has been linked with Arsenal frequently over the last couple of months and his pace and movement in attack seem perfect for Arsenal’s current style of play.
