Link, the world’s most recognisable Hylian elf, is showing up in some shiny screenshots for the upcoming Japanese release of Hyrule Warriors. Currently set to come out in Japan on August 14th, Hyrule Warriors will be a Zelda themed version of Techmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors games.
Tecmo Koei who are publishing the game exclusively for Wii U are expecting to see decent sales with their new Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mash-up. In an English translation published on Nintendo Everything earlier this month Tecmo Koei president Yoichi Erikawa said,
"In addition to our Warriors series fan base, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda is also a very popular series with a large fan base, and I think it will become a great new market.” adding, "Because of The Legend of Zelda's legion of fans overseas, we are aiming to sell more than one million copies worldwide."
The screenshots below show that fellow Zelda character Impa will be joining Link along with some of the upcoming frenzied battling action and some of the game environments.
There’s no mention of European and American releases of Hyrule Warriors as yet but the game is expected to be shown at E3.
