Manchester City striker features in Shakira’s new music video for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

World Cup stars Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Neymar are among a host of names who feature in Shakira’s new music track for the tournament.

The Argentinian and Brazilian stars are joined by Spain and Barcelona men Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique, who is famously the partner of Shakira.

The song does not hold the claim as the official World Cup song, that title goes to Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez with their “We are One (“Ola, Ola”)” single. Shakira did however produce the official record for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, with her song ‘Waka waka’.

Her effort this time around, ‘La la la (Brazil 2014)’, features some of the World Cup’s biggest stars.

Pique appears in his second World Cup themed video, after appearing in ‘Waka waka’ back in 2010, while the Barcelona defender and Shakira’s son Milan makes an appearance in the film.

Shakira’s fellow Colombian Radamel Falcao also features despite doubts about his fitness for the tournament, while French full-back Eric Abidal appears in the video despite having been left out of Didier Deschamps 30-man squad for the tournament next month.

Messi, Aguero, Pique, Fabregas and Neymar will all represent their respective countries at the World Cup, with all of them laying a claim as potential winners of the tournament.

Neymar’s Brazil are currently favourites to go on and win the competition as hosts, while Messi and Aguero are two of several world-class attackers boasted by Argentina.

Pique and Fabregas’ Spain have won the last three major footballing tournaments that they have been involved in, including the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. They face a tough group stage round featuring the Netherlands, Chile and Australia, but will fancy their chances of going all the way once more.

Pique and Shakira may have to tussle to convince their son to support either Spain or Colombia respectively, with both sides tipped to make the latter stages of the tournament.
