Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Saints star drops hint over Pochettino, Tottenham to make surprise move for Cole?

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez has admitted there is doubt over the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Saints boss has been strongly linked with the vacant White Hart Lane hot seat.

“It's up in the air and we're not too sure at the moment - He (Pochettino) is unbelievable. I think anyone will say what a great manager he is and what a good guy he is,” the striker told talkSPORT.

The Daily Mail claims Spurs are one of the sides that could pull off a shock move for Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.

Cole has revealed he doesn’t have a future at Stamford Bridge which means he’ll be playing somewhere new next season.

However, Tottenham will have to compete against a reported big money offer from Real Madrid, with other top European sides thought to be interested.

The Daily Star claims Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the battle to sign Stefan Radu from Lazio.

The 27-year-old has reportedly been a transfer target for a significant period of time, but Tottenham could make things difficult with their own offer.

Spurs need defensive reinforcements this summer but they may be hampered until they appoint a new manager.
