Warner Bros. have announced the release date for the revival of the monumental dungeon crawler along with some pre-order goodies.
Back in March we heard about the planned release for the new Gauntlet game, a modernised revamp of the arcade classic. Warner Bros have now given a release date of September 3rd for the new Gauntlet which will be available for Windows and Linux with a SteamOS version planned to coincide with the release of the PC/Console hybrid Steam Machines.
For gamers that per-order Gauntlet a free Darkness Calls digital comic will be thrown in which goes into the fluff behind the the game's evil antagonist Morak.
Pre-ordering from different participating retailers will also bag you some in-game prezzies to kit out your character. Ordering from Steam will get you the Reaper’s Visage Helm and Azkog the Demon Slayer Staff, Green Man Gaming pre-orderers will get Mordok’s Screaming Hammer. Order from Amazon and you’ll get the Giant’s Bane Axe and the Juggernaut of Hakura is available from GameStop.
