Oliver Sadran has stated that if a top club comes in for the Ivorian defender with a good offer, he will not stand in the star’s way of leaving.

With Bacary Sagna set for a summer exit, Arsenal are believed to be weighing up an offer for Toulouse star right-back Serge Aurier as a potential replacement.

Arsene Wenger’s men have been encouraged in the chase in previous days with the Ivorian right-back admitting that he is interested in a switch to North London.

They have been given more good news from France as Toulouse president Oliver Sadran has confirmed that the Ligue 1 club will not stand in the player’s way if an acceptable offer comes for Aurier.

“No, not even officially, he told Depeche du Midi when asked if Aurier could leave the club.

“But then, true to our line of conduct that is valid for every player, if there is an offer that cannot be refused and the moment is right…

“To be precise for Serge, if there is an offer from the top five or ten in Europe and it is acceptable, we will not refuse it.”

Aurier has been an ever-present for Toulouse in 2013-14 and has impressed with his blend of stern defensive work and ambition in attack.

He is expected to add to his eight Ivory Coast caps at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
