Video: Is this the best goal of Muntari's career?

Sulley Muntari Ghana

Ex-Portsmouth and Sunderland man Sulley Muntari scored a belter for AC Milan against Sassuolo which must rate amongst the best of his career.

Sulley Muntari isn't renowned for his goals but he stepped up with a rocket for AC Milan in their 2-1 win over Sassuolo yesterday.

It was ultimately a futile victory for Milan as Parma overcame Livorno 2-0 to secure the final Europa League qualification place.

After a miserable campaign, it is set to be a summer of purges at San Siro and coach Clarence Seedorf is almost certain to lose his job.

But in the second minute of the Rossoneri's season closer against Sassuolo, the fans were on their feet to applaud an excellent strike from Muntari, who won the FA Cup at Portsmouth.

Running at the Sassuolo defence, the Ghanian midfielder saw some space open up outside the box and struck a swerving shot which went in off the upright.

It had been suggested that Muntari would leave Milan in January along with former boss Massimiliano Allegri as he was a real disciple of the old boss, but instead he stuck around.

It's not clear whether Muntari will stay beyond this summer but his agent will undoubtedly show this goal to any potential suitors.

Muntari has scored six times for Milan in 41 games and has netted 28 times in his professional career.
