Napoli have completed the signing of talented Frenchman Kalidou Koulibaly, starting what is expected to be a busy summer for the Partenopei.
Rafa Benitez's men finished third in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia in what was a very positive season for the Azzurri.
Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has praised Benitez, describing him as 'the coach of the future' and intends to equip him with the personnel to go even better next season.
The press have mooted a number of potential targets for De Laurentiis' war chest over the last few weeks, including reported Arsenal target Maxime Gonalons of Lyon and Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez.
Koulibaly visited Napoli's training ground at Castelvolturno today passed his medical before being introduced to Benitez and De Laurentiis.
He will be able to fill a position that has been a problem for Napoli this season with their defence at times looking vulnerable.
Napoli have reportedly been trying to lure Javier Mascherano from Barcelona as well as Gonalons and it remains to be seen how the signature of Koulibaly affects that if at all.
