Well-known British journalist and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has often criticised manager Arsene Wenger for his failure to win trophies.
Until Saturday, the Gunners had not won any major silverware since 2005. The North London club had reached the finals of the Champions League in 2006 and the League Cup twice (2007 and 2011), but on all three occasions they had failed to go the extra mile.
The success made former Daily Mirror editor Morgan a very happy man, and he took to social networking site Twitter to express his delight.

Morgan also could not resist taking a dig at Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
Back in February, the Portuguese had claimed that Wenger is a “specialist in failure”, underlining how the Frenchman had gone years without winning anything and was still at the same club.
However, this term it is Mourinho who has ended trophyless in his first season back at Chelsea. And that coupled with Arsenal’s triumph in the FA Cup on Saturday enticed Morgan to mock the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid coach.
