Earlier this week it was reported that Chelsea were ready to let David Luiz leave the club - but not to Barcelona as had been previously reported.
Bayern Munich were said to be keen recently, as Pep Guardiola is a massive fan of the Brazilian defender. Jose Mourinho, it seems, is not. Luiz is a magnificent player, as we know, but his defensive frailties do not help his cause when it comes to impressing mister Mourinho.
Now it seems Bayern could get him, as long as they let Mario Mandzukic come the other way.
Chelsea need striking reinforcements and the Croatian is said to be a big favourite of the Portuguese Chelsea boss.
It was reported earlier this week that Roman Abramovich has given the all clear on a move and has appointed one of his fixers to make it happen - Serbian football agent Vlado Lemic.
So why have Chelsea turned to Lemic? Well because he has a track record of getting the job done.
His first deal of note saw Mateja Kezman move to PSV Eindhoven from Partizan Belgrade - and through this he gained a top relationship with PSV Eindhoven.
PSV are also intrinsically linked Chelsea. Frank Arnesen is a friend of his and through him he formed a relationship with Abramovich.
He brokered the deals that saw Arjen Robben, Mateja Kezman and Branislav Ivanovic to the club and also made first contact with Carlo Ancelotti over his availability for the manager job on two occasions.
He has also been at the centre of deals involving Samuel Eto'o, Luka Modric, Klaas Jan Huntelaar - so he certainly has experience of brokering big name deals.
This one would be the biggest yet, but Abramovich has one of his top dogs on the case, and he usually gets the job done.
