Nicklas Bendtner's career at Arsenal is coming to an end. His contract expires this summer and after his latest disciplinary issue Arsene Wenger appears to no longer acknowledge his presence. When he speaks about the players who are out of contract this summer he doesn't even mention Bendtner anymore.
It is no surprise. He has been a thorn in the side for much of his Emirates career despite the fact, that underneath all the bravado, there is a pretty decent footballer trying to get out.
He has recently returned to training after struggling with injury this year - and photos of him in group sessions emerged this week in which he looked quite lean and ready to go.
Perhaps he could have a dream swansong? Play one final game for the club? Maybe even sign off an unlikely Wembley hero?
It certainly doesn't look that way this morning.
Nicklas Bendtner has taken to Instagram to share a message with his team-mates, but you can quite clearly see a famous landmark in the window reflection - and it isn't the London Eye.
Its all about that silverware today. I hope The boys Will do it and bring back something we have missed at Arsenal for a long time.
No, Bendtner is in Paris, meaning unless he plans on getting the Eurostar, and quick, he is unlikely to feature this afternoon.
Does Paris beckon for Bendtner next season? He is possibly the only footballer in the world who thinks as highly of himself as PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However a move to the Parc des Princes seems unlikely.
Perhaps he just wanted to get away from England - where he would be constantly reminded that he was not called upon for Arsenal's biggest game in a decade.
