Arsenal are being linked with some big potential transfer deals this summer as Arsene Wenger looks for ways he can improve various parts of his squad.

The Gunners are well placed to go after big deals, with a large cash reserve although some reports have suggested Wenger will bide his time with key targets, which could spark bidding wars against rival teams.

We’ve taken a look at some of the best players linked with transfers to the Emirates Stadium this past week.

Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

Wenger remains keen on signing the Frenchman according to the Daily Mail. However, he reportedly wants to wait until Real Madrid’s season has finished to go after him, which could give Los Blancos the chance to open talks over a new contract for the forward.

Mario Balotelli (AC Milan)

Milan may not have any form of European football next season, which means a move to Arsenal could be very appealing for the controversial striker. Reports suggest that the Gunners’ main competition will come from Monaco, who could tempt the forward with a huge pay deal.

Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid)

The winger is thought to be of interest to Arsene Wenger according to John Cross of the Daily Mirror. Cross claims that Wenger wants to buy the Argentine this summer after failing to do so last year, with reports in Spain suggesting Real Madrid could be open to a deal.

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad)

A lower profile attacking option for Arsenal could be re-signing striker Carlos Vela. Vela has developed significantly from his first spell in North London and the Gunners have a buy back option in his contract, which mans a deal would set them back around the £3 million mark.

Alvaro Vadillo (Real Betis)

Vadillo is one of the most talented wingers in Spanish football. He has the ability to play down either side of the midfield, which means Wenger could use him on the left, which would release Lukas Podolski to move further forward to provide an extra striker option.
