Liverpool morning news, club linked with former Chelsea star, Rodgers confident over striker's future

A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Friday morning.

Liverpool are said to be interested in former Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou according to the Daily Express.

Kalou, who is currently at French side Lille, has had a pretty good season in Ligue 1 which has seen him score 16 goals in all competitions.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in the player, after apparently trying to lure him to the Emirates Stadium on loan in the January transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers has told the Liverpool Echo that he knows striker Luis Suarez is happy at Liverpool and is confident there will be no repeat of the transfer saga from last summer.

The Reds manager said: “He’s contributed massively to our success this season and he is happy in the Premier League.

“He has turned a corner in terms of how he’s perceived in England.

“Of course in football you can’t promise anything but I am confident Luis will be a big part of the future here.”

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has said he knows nothing about a potential move to Liverpool from Swansea City.

Vorm has been linked with a move which would reunite him with his old manager, and the Daily Express has picked up on quotes he made to De Telegraaf, where the keeper said:

“It appeared last week in the British media. For me it was a surprise I must be honest. I personally haven’t heard anything.”
