Arsenal Invincible Lauren has called on manager Arsene Wenger to reach into the club's transfer pot and recruit at least three, maybe even four players so that the Gunners can achieve consistency throughout a campaign that sees the club compete on four fronts.
Arsenal led the Premier League for 128 days, far longer than Chelsea, Liverpool and champions Manchester City, yet fell from grace and squeaked fourth place after failing to regroup after injuries to key personnel such as Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey.
Lauren told talkSPORT: "Arsenal need three or four new players. I’m not saying the team isn’t good enough, but to be consistent for the whole season we need some reinforcements.
"The first team are fine but you can’t play the whole season with the same eleven players. If Arsene Wenger wants to win the Premier League title and be consistent the whole season in Europe, they need a number of new players."
The summer transfer window has not even opened and, indeed, Arsenal's season is not yet even over as they compete in the FA Cup final tomorrow, Saturday, against Hull City at Wembley Stadium, but the club have already been linked with a number of targets.
Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, Real Sociedad and former Gunner Carlos Vela, Real Madrid attacker Angel di Maria and Manchester City defender Micah Richards have all been speculatively linked with a summer switch to Ashburton Grove.
