Arsenal latest: Cup final team news, Arteta contract concerns and Benzema

All the latest news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal take on Hull City tomorrow in the FA Cup final at Wembley, hoping to win their first piece of silverware in nine years with victory.

Apart from the long term absentees in the squad the club are at full strength bar two potential first-teamers who are marked as doubts.

Thomas Vermaelen and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are the players in question, the former recovering from stitches in his leg and the latter still struggling with a groin problem.

However both are said to have trained today, and might just make it in time for the game.

Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to talk to Arsenal about the club's contract policy. The Spanish midfielder has said in an interview that he is not sure what will happen regarding a contract extension - as he knows Arsenal only offer one-year deals to over-30's:

"I don't know what is going to happen. With players over 30 they have a policy and I don't know if they plan change it or maintain it. Depending on what their mind is I will give them my opinion and how I see it."

Former Arsenal player John Hartson believes his countryman Aaron Ramsey will have high profile teams chasing him this summer.

The Welsh international has been in top form this season, and Hartson believes it will see big clubs circling:

"Aaron Ramsey will be linked to 10 clubs in the summer. But I can't see him leaving Arsenal in the foreseeable future. He's settled and loves the club."

Ray Parlour has urged his former club to buy Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. The Frenchman is said to be a £30 million target for the club this summer:

"Benzema has been mentioned, he would do a good job. It would be fantastic for Arsenal."
