Reports in the Italian media that Napoli are closing in on Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic appear to be unfounded.
It was reported yesterday that Napoli were ready to pay £16m for Jovetic, who hasn't had as much playing time as he would have liked this season.
Although Jovetic was on target against Aston Villa in Man City's penultimate game, he has been second choice for much of the campaign as Edin Dzeko has found form.
The 24-year-old came to City from Serie A side Fiorentina for £22m last summer after establishing himself as one of Italian football's top talents.
But even though his time at the Etihad Stadium so far has been a little underwhelming, Jovetic insists he has no intention of leaving.
"I came here to stay for a long time and win as many things as possible. I'm sure that I will get more playing time next season as I will be training with the rest of the squad in the summer."
Napoli are looking for a dangerous strike partner for Argentine ace Gonzalo Higuain who often had to carry the striking burden this season.
