All the latest news and views from Stamford Bridge including a move for Bayern Munich forward and joining the chase for a Liverpool & Arsenal target.
Chelsea could be offered £15m for David Luiz. Does that match his valuation? What if that lump cash sum was on top of a renowned, peak form striker - Mario Mandzukic? That is the player-plus-cash deal reportedly being offered by Bayern Munich to the Blues, as per a story in The Mirror.
Mandzukic, despite elite-level talent, may be ushered out of the Allianz Arena to make way for Robert Lewandowski, who is being imported from Borussia Dortmund. Mandzukic could join Diego Costa, in what could be a lethal partnership which, on paper, could give Liverpool's SAS a run for their money.
Considering Costa could attract a £32m fee, the total spend on both the Atletico Madrid hitman and Mandzukic would be a rather modest £17m - with Luiz being offloaded.
While those two strikers are highly established and experienced, another target - Dele Alli - is at the other end of his career; just beginning. A teenager with much potential, the MK Dons starlet has also been targeted by Liverpool and Arsenal and is regarded to be the next Steven Gerrard.
Returning from loan, Romelu Lukaku is expected to demand showdown talks with manager Jose Mourinho in order to discuss his future. Mourinho will apparently use pre-season to assess all the players returning from loan, but should Mandzukic and Costa both join, then Lukaku surely will be surplus to requirements, especially if one of Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o remains on the roster.
And finally, Chelsea are Under-21 Premier League champions thanks to a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at their own manor - Old Trafford. Here's a photo of some of the stars with the trophy.
